Childhood Development

My father was an early adopter of computers and was especially enamored of spreadsheets. As children, among other data plottings, he charted our growth several times a year. I distinctly recall there being measuring and weighing sessions, in what seemed then to be a relatively arbitrary cycle.

Fortunately, the charts have been meticulously maintained by the old man in the filing cabinet for years. I am currently 33 years old, over 6’1″ tall and 208 lb. heavy, giving me a lb/inch density of 2.85.  Here are the historic charts:

Yeah, a couple things are clear: I was always a big boy. Daniel was always skinny. Ramon was always in the middle. Ramon and Daniel both had clear growth spurts (in terms of both height and weight). My slope was slow and steady.

    i had a real 14-year old spurt!

Dan was quite short until 16, or else we were quite tall.

weight wise, things seem to have been absolutely clear at 12 years old, then there was an adolescent confusion until it returned to the same relativity (amongst us) as existed at 12.
